Sorry sorry

I know I'm really late with winners etc and we have not done a challenge this month but if you're not on my Facebook you won't know.

At the end of august/early Sept I learned both my parents were unwell.  My mum was in hospital having stubbed her toe which turned into gangrene.  She later underwent an above knee amputation.
Following this, she was put into a chair at the hospital which she promptly fell out of breaking her remaining ankle.  This meant it was impossible for her to return home so I have been organising with my sister to move her into a care home nearer to us.

Around the end of September I also learnt my father is terminally ill with cirrhotic liver disease and ascites.  He is in and out of a hospice and my sister is currently living with him.  I go at weekends as the house is in a poor condition and needs a lot of work plus I want to spend time with my Dad who probably doesn't have long left.  He has been fast tracked for chc 7 weeks ago which means his prognosis is less than 3 months.

At 2.20am on 6th Nov I received a call from the hospital to say my mum, who was just waiting for a nursing home place and "medically fit" had suddenly deteriorated and we needed to get in now.  Not easy being an hour away, my sister and father are nearer but unfortunately she passed away before any of us could get there.

I had raised a number of issues with the hospital before this regarding the standard of care which I am still pursuing.

My dad had just been back in the hospice and had had a fall right outside the house on coming home today and we haven't even buried my mother yet.

As you can imagine my head is completely elsewhere so please be patient regarding challenges and winners, I will get round to it and honour them but right now I need to concentrate on my father and pursuing the hospital over my mother's poor care.

Thank You

Challenge 4 - Anything Halloween (Fantasy) Goes

Good Afternoon and welcome back for our 4th challenge at Fantasy Crafters!  We were amazed at all the entries of our last challenge, some truly stunning creations, so just watch this space when we will be announcing the winner of the mystery rubber stamp prize. Winners for our 2nd challenge will be announced very soon too.

Our challenge this month is.... Drum roll... Halloween!

The design team here love Halloween and we have all used images by the lovely Hannah Lynn for your inspiration this challenge. Take a look at Crafts and Me and see all the awesome new digital stamps which have just been released.

Our rules again, we're fairly relaxed, all we ask is it has to be fantasy themed and no backlinking to posts prior to 15th October.  You can enter as many times as you like. Also, if you could turn off comment moderation on your blog it will make it a whole lot easier for us to keep track of where we are up to.

So without further ado, it's time for us to get our Halloween on and pass over to the girls with their inspiration for you this month. We are spreading the inspiration over the month in two parts, here's the first three, and the others will be on our midway reminder post on 25th.

August Challenge #2 - Anything (Fantasy) Goes sponsored by Crafts & Me

Good Morning all, gosh that month flew by!  I hope you're all enjoying your summer breaks.  I've been rooting through stash, I moved nearly 3 years ago and still haven't unpacked a lot of my craft stuff as I was working over an hour away so just never got the time however working more local now I can get things out and tinker so just wanted to get organised.  It's amazing the things you find you completely forgot you had isn't it!  I can't find my alcohol inks though, I put them in a plastic box in case they leaked when we moved but can't remember where ha!  They might be cleverly hidden under a box of paper offcuts (yes I have a box!) but other than that I really have no idea lol!

My daughter has been playing alongside me too so I think she might join the design team at some point as she's getting good!  We've been painting pebbles, making play doh, colouring and painting away.  I hope you all get a bit of time to go through some stash and amaze yourself at the things you forgot you had and CHALLENGE YOURSELF to actually use them.  Please show us the results, we'd love to see them!

Anyway thank you so much for entering our 1st challenge, we'll be back later with winners.  A little bit quiet but hey we've all got to start somewhere but sincerely Thank You x

Our next challenge is sponsored by the awesome CRAFTS & ME.  Teresa has kindly offered a £10 digi voucher to her amazing store.  If you've never been what are you waiting for?  Its fantasy HEAVEN!  There are such amazing artists there including Hannah Lynn, Jeremiah Ketner and Sara Burrier who produce such beautiful images to colour.  Us girls have had so much fun this month so lets get on and show you our stuff!

The challenge is Anything Goes again so long as it's FANTASY THEMED.

Ine using Dancing Fae (Robin Pushay)

Debo using Library Fairy (Hannah Lynn)

Geesje using Lady of the Field (Sara Burrier)

Michelle using Steampunk Odyssey (Charmaine Flannery)

Vix using Autumn (Hannah Lynn)

Tracey using Lady of the Stars (Sara Burrier)

Fantasy Crafters Challenge 1 - Anything Goes Fantasy

Good Morning!! Well the day has finally arrived & the team are very excited to be opening our new challenge blog here at Fantasy Crafters!
You've had chance to meet us all and I hope we provide you with some inspiration, we have a diverse team to suit most tastes and above all we hope you enjoy visiting us and taking part in the monthly challenges.

So what are we about?  In a word, Fantasy!  We have very few rules here but the main one is that your entry has to be fantasy related.

Fantasy aka Make believe can be a wide variety of depictions such as Unicorns, Fairies, Pixies and mermaids as favoured by several of the Teamies or you can go for the darker elements favoured by Teamie Michelle and enter Dragons, Witches, Ghosts and Vampires.  This also includes works known as Fantasy Scapes because I particularly LOVE looking at these!
Screenshots of Pokemon Go won't count though haha!

Items can be fully handcrafted, hybrid or fully digital and can be anything your little heart desires to make including scrapbooks like Teamie Tracey, Cards, ATC's, altered tin cans, whatever you like.

You can combine your entry with as many other challenges as you like *but* usual rules apply that it must not be posted prior to the start of our challenge.

Some months we will be sponsored and have prizes, others we will not so that the team can freestyle!  We will have a monthly top 3 chosen by the team and highly commended awards.  You may even feature in a mid way spotlight.

So now to introduce our 1st Challenge which is Anything Goes (Fantasy themed of course!) and here's the girls x
